Is an assertive top-down management style best, or does a bottom-up consensus-based approach produce better results?
Is it better to have an intense work environment to energize your team, or is it better to maintain a measured pace to avoid mistakes?
Do you package your products with all-in global pricing, or do you break every little product, service, feature and premium out and charge customers ‘a la carte’?
If you’ve been involved in any of these debates, you know that they can get pretty heated, with each side feeling totally convinced of its own arguments. The truth is, polarized arguments happen in all areas of our lives.
The way out, according to Polarity Management expert Liz Monroe-Cooke, is not to argue more voraciously, but rather to recognize it as a polarity that needs to be managed.
Based on the work of Barry Johnson and Polarity Management Associates, Polarity Management is both a way of thinking and a specific tool for analysis and action planning. Drawing on ancient wisdom about dynamic tensions, it encourages us to understand that complex challenges cannot be addressed by picking only one answer.
You’ll learn:
- How to recognize the most common polarities.
- How to distinguish polarities from solvable problems.
- How to supplement ‘either-or’ thinking with ‘both-and’ thinking.
- And more!
If you want to learn a whole new way of tackling (and overcoming) complex issues and challenges, this teleclass is for you!
Can’t make the live call?
No problem. Like all of our teleclasses, a recording of this session will be sent to you a day or two after the teleclass. Plus, the recording will be added to the Members Audio Library (along with recordings of teleclasses going back to 2005) as an added value for Essential Message members!
